Over three months in late 2018, Irish modular musician The Fully Automatic Model has created eight compositions; all mainly composed on his home made modular system. The idea behind the compositions was to create one piece of music, from start to finish, within a day. Each track was recorded in one live take, before the modular system was stripped back; potentially never to be played the same way again.

Continuing to draw on Northern Ireland’s seemingly endless pool of alternative talent, Tape Throb Records brings you our first dalliance into the modular ambient with Johnny Delaney’s The Fully Automatic Model. This is a series of original ethereal soundscapes. This project is at once peaceful and provoking, reassuringly and enveloping whilst also boundary pushing in conception.

Complimented by artwork from Tape Throb Records’ regular moulder of shape and colour, David Morrison, this neat and ready album radiates the cool and collected in a manner which promises to deliver. Fully Automatic Model is an intricate multi-layered exercise in audio technology.
